Myth #1: Our Ancestors Adhered to the “Paleo Diet”
Analysis of Paleolithic remains have found evidence that they consumed both beans and barley, a gluten-containing grain! The same evidence suggests they knew enough to cook these foods with water, the same process we would use today to turn poisonous raw beans and grains into health-promoting cooked ones. In short, our very notion of what the “Paleo Diet” looks like is wrong!
