“I can’t believe it. I can’t believe that could taste so good. I can’t believe I ate the entire thing – a pound of frozen spinach – and it tasted so good that I was licking the bowl.” -My Mom

This is the best cheat-free, powerhouse spinach dip
And you even earn a whole cheat if you eat this after five!

Ingredients:

-1 pound bag of organic frozen spinach leaves (can be chopped or whole)
-Half a box or can (usually 15 oz) of crushed red tomatoes
-1/2 a thumb of fresh chopped ginger (more if you like)
-3 cloves of chopped garlic
-1/4 thumb of fresh chopped turmeric (optional)
-5 shakes of sea salt
-Freshly ground pepper
-1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper or (a big or)
-1/2 chopped fresh jalapeno. More of less depending on your desire for heat/hot spicy

Directions:

Place a large pot on medium and place the spinach and tomato. Stir. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until the spinach has fully cooked.

Place an immersion blender in pot and blend into spinach dip. Serve hot or cold.

I eat mine hot with a spoon! Sometimes I eat with a few potato chips or carrot chips as a dip.
