Testosterone – Women
In women, about half their testosterone is produced in the ovaries. It contributes to sexual arousal, but testosterone is more than a sex hormone. In both men and women it helps with brain function, increases bone and muscle mass as well as fat distribution, and contributes to increased energy levels.
