8. Most Conventional Protein and Energy Bars
A general rule of thumb here is that if an energy or protein bar is not sold at Whole Foods Market, don’t eat it. Of course it is a lot more complicated than that, but conventional protein and meal bars contain processed soy protein, refined sugar, hydrogenated fat, and other harmful additives that contribute to chronic illness.
Whole Foods is more expensive (and they are NOT a PEERtrainer sponsor) but they do good work in keeping the stuff out that is harmful in ANY dose.
